Block Paving

Block paving is a method of primarily creating temporary sidewalks or paved floors to keep the surface clean and undamaged. This method is preferred primarily to keep the surface intact and is used for sidewalks, patios, driveways, and road surfaces.

The whole process of paving does not require any construction. The bricks consist of concrete, clay and a composite of sand, stone and cement. The clay tiles are baked well in the oven and are difficult to use for a long time. The bricks used to make the paving stone are also made from crushed glass and even from the building material that is crushed before mixing.

The different paving stone patterns are:

  • Herringbone: It is the most common paving stone pattern and is considered the strongest among all the different patterns. It is durable and is particularly preferred for driveways and road surfaces. The pattern is created by placing the block either 45 degrees or 90 degrees.
  • Although this pattern is not as strong as a herringbone, it is especially preferred for light vehicles that move on its surface.

How to plan the paving stone for your terrace:

You need to determine the exact size of the area where you plan to install the paving stone. You also need to decide on the purpose of the paving, whether it will be a light or permanent paving. Only then can you choose the most suitable laying pattern for the paving stone. Different patterns and designs are available. Therefore, choose the colors and shades that are appropriate for the paving stone pattern you plan to use in the open area around the house. When installing, you have several options, select them accordingly.
