Outdoor Pillows

It is a common misconception among an alarming number of adults that pillows are only used for sleeping or resting the back. In fact, there is hardly a place where a peppery pillow cannot shine with its charm and cozy utility. Pillows can be used to expand, place things, play around, and meet various other seemingly irrelevant needs. In this article, we explore how to make your own outdoor pillows from simple everyday items that are easy to find in and around your home.

Let’s take a look at the different ways DIY pillows can be made.

Old clothes: An outdoor pillow can easily be made with old clothes. Best of all, there isn’t a specific type of fabric that you need to make it. Collect as many old things as you can, be it socks, scarves, sweaters, etc.

Once you have them, check for hard objects like buttons and sequins and remove them. Bundle these clothes into a bundle and fill the gaps with cotton. Once this makeshift pillow is ready, you can sew a fancy cover for the pillow and voila, you have a brand new decoration item!

Plastic Bags: You will be surprised how convenient plastic bags can be when made the right shape and size. Just crush the plastic bags that are left over after shopping and grocery shopping. Put the bundled plastic balls in a pillowcase. If you don’t want to buy one, you can sew these yourself. Once that’s done, test the pillow for comfort and fill in the gaps with more balls. You are good to go now!
